The dolls below have been sold, but they give you an idea of what I have done and can do for your customized creation (bearing in mind that a custom doll based off one below may look similar, but will not be the same).

PLEASE NOTE: RavenCrow dolls are not intended for small children or for play purposes. They have small parts and features (hair and wings, for instance) that can be damaged by rough handling.

Airin--Custom faerie. And I've saved the best for the last of 2008...the one for my daughter. Poor thing always watches as the faeries get made and leave, lamenting each one and patiently waiting her turn, so THIS time I decided to surprise her. When I finished "Taylor," "Ashleigh," and Alexis," I did this huge sigh of relief in front of her that I was done for the year (just a little set up). The next day when she got home, I told her she wouldn't believe it, but I'd gotten another order, and I added that this person was letting me have full reign on hair, eyes, and colors, but I was too tired from looking at the other dolls that I'd just finished to pick things out myself. Off we trudged to my sewing room, where she chose all the colors and let me know that she'd be really jealous of the person getting this doll when it was done. "Airin" will be waiting for my girl on the tree on Christmas Day. The dragonfly on her waist is significant to when my daughter was a baby, but she won't know that. 4mm buttons joint her elbows and knees; she is also jointed at her shoulders and hips.

Eos-- Custom order faerie. Requested to be golden and etheral, Eos is named for the Greek goddess who symbolizes dawn and new beginnings--and she is, indeed, the brightest fae I've ever created...almost luminescent--Eos was ordered by a lady starting out on an exciting venture of a new shop--The Crooked Corner in Leicester, UK (web link to come when her website is up) and a new beginning of her own. Eos has big blue doe eyes, blonde hair and is dressed in a golden organza and irridescent fabric that gives the dress a blur effect--kind of like a puffy cloud. 4mm buttons joint Eos' elbows and knees; they are also jointed at the shoulders and hips.

Vixen--Custom order faerie. Fiery green eyes and shocks of red streaks in her jet black tresses--how much more of a goth vixen could she be? Vixen's dress is black satin brocade in black with red Asian floral accents. Her hair has two pony tails on the top, with the rest down and puffy. Red antennae and irridescent red wings. Hard to let go of...I think she needs a twin. 4mm buttons joint her elbows and knees; she is also jointed at her shoulders and hips.

Opal Faerie-- Custom order faerie. Like Wren, Opal was a joy to create and watch develop. The purchaser is a natural perfume designer who loves opals and wanted to incorporate the essence of the swirling colors of an opal. Although a joy, this one pushed me out of my box when it came to clothing. The fabric lit like a Christmas tree (I burn my fabrics...this time I also burned my pants), so I had to create a dress fit for a regal faerie. Opal's dress is irridescent white, as is the strap on her dress. Her feet are wrapped with the same fabric, as is her hair, with a swirl button attached to the tie. 4 mm buttons joint elbows and knees. Also jointed at hips and shoulders.

Wren--Custom order faerie. This was a FUN one to make! Wren was a custom order for a beloved mom who loves Ren Faire, purple, and CROWS. How could I not want to make a faerie for someone after my own heart! Wren has silver-grey hair and green-hazel eyes (as requested to match the mom). Wren has a bodice that I laced up with two needles (picture that), organza bell sleeves (ala Ren Faire), an underskirt topped with burned and curled organza, customary organza foot wraps, and a special touch: a head wreath made from my favorite mulberry tree--the very tree that provided the twigs that I made the prototype for my wedding ring with. 4mm buttons joint her elbows and knees; she is also jointed at her shoulders and hips.

The Goth Faerie--inspired by the black satin star and moon printed fabric I found and couldn't resist at Halloween-time. Goth has electric blue eyes, charcoal "eyeshadow," dusty plum "blush," black-dark violet lips, and poofy black hair. Black irridescent wings are a first for me, as are the satin ballet shoes I made for her that match her strapless dress. 4mm black buttons joint her elbows and knees; she is also jointed at her shoulders and hips.

The Chaos Faerie-- I actually began working on this one during my exhibit at Kindred Spirits last year, but she kept getting put away for other doll orders. From the moment I saw the fabric, I thought of chaos. Not negative chaos, but creative chaos. From the void and chaos comes creativity and light kind of thing. This girl has baby pink, glittery hair, and she is my first short haired doll ever. In her hair are blue wire coils that compliment the blue design in her clothes. The fabric pattern colors range from light green to pink, with a wild electric blue pattern that looks like...shall I say it? CHAOS! The chaos faerie has a tattered skirt that hangs on both hips and a belt of gold leaves. Wings are curled and golden green with the same faerie glitter as her hair. Her legs are not jointed--she kneels. Jointed at hips, elbows and shoulders.

Cyrene-- This is actually a "twin" of the first Cyrene I did. Cyrene was the first faerie I ever made with closed eyes--very serene. Cyrene looked like a little sleepy woodland nymph in her green, leaf printed fabric. Irridescent green wings. In the spirit of never creating two dolls to be the same, this Cyrene has a tattered skirt with a gold-toned leaf strand hanging from her waistband. Two gold-toned leaves also in her hair. 4mm buttons joint her elbows and knees; she is also jointed at the shoulders and hips.

Robin and Robin's Twin-- Custom order faeries. The buyer of these dolls fell in love with Cyrene's closed eyes and the purple hair of Morgan Le Fae. Along with those requests, she allowed me to experiment with coloring the dolls' body and face fabric with coffee. Even being twins, these two are different...as I said, no two will ever be alike. 4mm buttons joint elbows and knees; they are also jointed at shoulders and hips

Faerie of the Sunrise----Custom order faerie. Orange, white, and gold! The requester of this faerie was on to something with this color combo. Doll's body and face fabric are coffee-stained. 4mm buttons joint her elbows and knees; she is also jointed at her shoulders and hips.

Raeven-- My first human! Custom order based on the computer illustration (in photo, next to doll) of the purchaser's neice. This one was fun and at times challenging. Coffee-stained "skin"; purple furry boa, boots, and sleeves; tie-dyed purple legs and bandana, bright blue eyes, and a sassy smile. 4mm buttons join elbows and knees.
