The dolls below have been sold, but they give you an idea of what I have done and can do for your customized creation (bearing in mind that a custom doll based off one below may look similar, but will not be the same).

PLEASE NOTE: RavenCrow dolls are not intended for small children or for play purposes. They have small parts and features (hair and wings, for instance) that can be damaged by rough handling.

Elphaba and Galinda--Custom order set. This set was ordered as a gift for an aficionado of the Broadway play about the two witches from the classic Baum tale (I became a fan of the book back in my college days, read it inside, outside, upside down a zillion times, wrote essays on it, and was plotting my thesis around it--always wanted to recreate these two...or at least my wicked favorite, but I never felt up to the task). These two are my interpretations of the characters from the novel. Elph's head, arm, and leg fabric is hand dyed Egyptian cotton, and her broom handmade. Her dress, cape, shoes, and hat are black Egyptian cotton and organza. Her cape is clasped with a pewter spiral. True to the novel, her eyes are the color of "mica-flecked earth."
Galinda has a double skirt of blue glittered organza and taffeta; her shoes are blue taffeta. Her crown, wand, and dress embellishments were hand-pieced together. Both of these dolls look best with stands.
*Note: if "twins" of one or both of these dolls is purchased, please be aware that Elphaba's hat is not removable, which adds considerably to the length of the box (these dolls are packaged lying flat, wrapped in tissue paper), making UPS the less expensive way to ship. 4mm buttons joint her elbows and knees; she is also jointed at her shoulders and hips.

Rising Sun--Custom order faerie. Based on Faerie of the Sunrise, but this doll was modeled on a Pennsylvania sunrise--with corals and soft gold (please notice that though this doll is based on another creation, they are very different from one another--my promise of a one-of-a-kind creation for each of my customers). 4mm buttons joint her elbows and knees; she is also jointed at her shoulders and hips.

Rage--Custom order faerie. I love making the dark, Goth girls the most. Rage is midnight-blue, black, and silver, and she's full of attitude. As she sat on my mantle while awaiting her finishing touches (dress, wings, hair, etc), she sat cocked to the side, almost looking like she was about to put a hand on her hip. Her black hair has streaks and an under-layer of midnight blue with an iridescent tinsel effect. 4mm buttons joint her elbows and knees; she is also jointed at her shoulders and hips.

Danile--Custom order faerie. This fae let me learn and be creative! I taught myself how to blend my hair yarn to make a dishwater blonde, learned how to weave a bird's nest headband, and I got to sculpt with polymer clay to make robin eggs and a bird's nest! I also got help creating the perfect green eye color by the covert help of the person who ordered it (and the tactics shall be remain between her and myself! LOL!) The recipient of this faerie loves the outdoors and its fauna, and I was receiving constant inspiration from the robins who play in my yard, thus the motif is centered around spring and the nest. Danile's dress is robin's egg blue and tan/brown. The usual tattered organza dress has an assymetric underskirt. 4mm buttons joint her elbows and knees; she is also jointed at her shoulders and hips.

Regan--Custom order faerie. The goth dolls are what I love to do--love the brooding look and the fun I get to have getting to play with colors. Regan has blue green eyes and red streaks in her black hair, with an under-shock of red underneath it all--have to keep current, now, don't I? Red antennae, irridescent red wings and a black and red wand to top the whole thing off. Regan's fiery personality came through the entire time I made her--I always keep in mind that the ones who fight me the most turn out to be my most favorite in the end. 4mm buttons joint her elbows and knees; she is also jointed at her shoulders and hips.

Sherry--Custom order faerie. This was ordered in remembrance of a wonderful lady's dear friend who had just passed. What she said she would remember about her was her honey blonde hair, deep brown eyes, and wisdom. She chose sage as the color to best represent her friend who liked nature; I added four glass flowers around the waist. 4mm buttons joint her elbows and knees; she is also jointed at her shoulders and hips.

Saira--Custom faerie. Green-eyed, blonde with lowlights fae all dressed in purple. This one is for a very special person in my daughter's life. 4mm buttons joint her elbows and knees; she is also jointed at her shoulders and hips.
